Who We Are

We are a small, private rescue, licensed by the State of Missouri since June 2004.  February 2009 - 501(c)3 pending (my how we have grown).  July 2009 - IRS has granted our tax exempt status!

We specialize in senior & special needs fur-kids.
We offer Hospice care for dying fur-kids as space permits.
We may take in a puppy or young fur-kid as space permits.

This site is dedicated to Max, rescued by Carolyn, & Lady, rescued by Connie.  Both were seniors that were in kill shelters & were "Naturals" when visiting the care center.  Because of them, this rescue was born.

As of February 2008 we are not taking in any large breed dogs.

As of December 1, 2008 we are taking in a limited number of fur-kids on site.  We are placing more fur-kids directly in open foster homes.  Our foster homes are registered with the Missouri Department of Agriculture.  If no space is available, we will offer suggestions on finding your pet a home.  We may ask you to keep your pet until space becomes available.

All our pets are completely vetted including but not limited to altered, vaccinated, dental & microchipped before being placed for adoption.

Most, yet not all, visit the local care center to become familiar with medical equipment.  The goal is to get the senior pets into senior homes or non-senior homes with a low energy lifestyle.

We are slowly getting this site built up to have all sorts of educational information on it.  Please click the button below to go to our sitemap page.  There you will find a list of the pages we have with educational information.  We hope to add more and more pages and information as time goes on.

We offer a discount to those in uniform keeping us safe whether that be a military uniform, a police uniform or a fire fighter's uniform.  Land of the free because of the brave.
May our Lord wrap His Bubble of Protection about those that serve.  May He comfort those left waiting for their return.
